A talk presented at GTK Finland on using deep learning for 3D geological inversion. Covers synthetic data generation via process-based simulation, flow matching for categorical generative modeling, and conditional reconstruction of subsurface lithology from surface and borehole observations.

A guest lecture and workshop exploring the intersection of deep learning and numerical analysis. Neuro differential equations with architectures such as ResNet and RevNet. Neural ODEs where a continuous time dynamical system is modeled by a neural network, with an application to generative AI and inverse problems.
